Construction Project Engineer - Commercial Construction – Base Salary to 100k/year – Minneapolis, MN
Our client, a commercial construction subcontractor specializing in carpentry and interior demolition, is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support and manage projects throughout the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area.
This organization partners with General Contractors on projects across healthcare, retail, hospitality, education, and commercial facilities. This is a field-focused role, supporting Project Managers on large projects while independently managing smaller scopes.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple small to mid-sized commercial construction projects from start to finish
Coordinate field activities related to carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall, and interior demolition scopes
Work closely with field supervisors and crews to execute project schedules
Communicate with General Contractors, owners, and design teams regarding scope, schedules, and materials
Review contracts, purchase orders, work schedules, and change orders
Track project progress and provide updates to Project Management leadership
Attend jobsite meetings and perform site walks
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and General Contractors
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in commercial construction
Experience working on active commercial jobsites and coordinating with field teams
Ability to manage schedules, track project progress, and support project execution
Must reside within the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area
Compensation
Base salary in the 85k - 100k/year range (up to $100,000 per year)
