Responsibilities
Perform maintenance service on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers to meet accepted quality standards.
Repair and rebuild components including:
Suspension and running gear components
Landing gear assembly and components
Wheel components and tires
Brake and air components
Electrical, lighting and wiring components
Rear frame and door components
Side, nose and roof components
Interior and floor components
Conduct Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
Maintain welding and metal fabrication skills.
Perform service calls, wash and fuel equipment when necessary.
Road test vehicles to ensure quality repair (CDL required).
Demonstrate a consistently positive attitude and professional interaction with colleagues.
Assist, guide, and direct junior technicians.
Participate in shop, grounds, equipment, and tools maintenance.
Maintain a clean, safe environment complying with OSHA and company standards.
Record all work and labor using the EMS system.
Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure proper inventory levels.
Comply with EPA, DOT, and company safety requirements.
Perform other maintenance duties or assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Valid Driver's License.
Basic math skills.
Fluent in English.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
At least 18 years old.
Able to pass a drug screen.
Physical Demands
This position requires routine physical tasks in a Service Center and Shop environment, such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, and using hand and power tools; work can be performed independently or in teams.
