
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) Regional Outreach Coordinator (K to 14 AC

Overview
Under general supervision of the Early Academic Outreach Director, the Regional Outreach Coordinator will form strategic educational partnerships with departmental/campus staff, school site/district administrators, community members, non‑profit organizations, local businesses, students, and parents in order to provide direct oversight of educational partnership efforts within the region and improve their effectiveness in building a college‑going culture. The Coordinator will work with students, school partners, families, campus partners and community organizations to give them information about the college admission process, what happens when they get to college, and how to pay for it. This will be accomplished by monitoring each participant's academic progress and developing and facilitating various opportunities centered around college access.
Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Valid California driver’s license and a driving record in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enrollment in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Bachelor’s degree in a related area and relevant experience in college educational outreach.
Two years of academic advising for large numbers of ethnically and linguistically diverse middle and high school students, with additional experience communicating UC and CSU admissions requirements to a broad audience.
Experience with academic preparation programs and outreach efforts to increase educational achievement, specifically among students from diverse populations and language backgrounds.
Experience in program development and management with expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives serving diverse communities.
Experience exercising initiative, originality, and judgment in applying and analyzing broadly defined campus, county, state, and federal policies to solve unusual or complex problems, particularly in education.
Experience working within guidelines and policies established by the University of California, UC Davis, and the granting and funding agencies.
Familiarity and sensitivity to academic, social, and emotional factors confronting students and families from diverse backgrounds; strong communication skills for preparing and delivering oral presentations and written reports, proposals, program assessments, and other materials for a variety of audiences, ensuring compliance with departmental and university guidelines.
Knowledge of K‑12 public schools and the California higher‑education systems (CCC, CSU, UC, and AICCU), including academic standards, administrative structure, faculty relations, school protocol, community dynamics, categorical funding, and the Master Plan of Education in California.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience planning, preparing, and monitoring complex education budgets by integrating program goals, projects, staffing needs, and statistical data.
Experience in partnership development with school sites, campuses, and community partners.
Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and ability to handle and work with confidential records and materials of minors.
Foreign‑language speaking skills, preferably Spanish.
Computer proficiency: word processing, spreadsheets, and student database management systems.
Position Information
Salary: $58,800–$101,200 annually (subject to a departmental salary range of $58,800–$70,000, commensurate with experience).
