Position Summary
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Planner (Level 2 or Level 3) in the Composites Non‑Metallic area to join the Manufacturing Engineer Planning Team at the Interiors Responsibility Center South Carolina (IRCSC) located in North Charleston, SC. The position is based in Ladson, SC, and is for the 2nd shift. It requires on‑site support (limited virtual work) with rotating weekend factory support. The role involves collaboration with the Interiors production system to create comprehensive build plans, problem‑solve for production improvements, and perform emergent issue resolution. The selected candidate will provide leadership and technical direction in a highly dynamic production environment, balancing shop‑floor interaction with desk‑based computing tasks and working cross‑functionally to continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, bills of materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as‑built configuration.
Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
Integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met.
Develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
Manage tools from initial design to end‑of‑use disposition.
Investigate and resolve manufacturing related issues.
Perform producibility assessments for part or product designs.
Provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes, and technologies to meet cost and schedules.
Develop integrated work statements and sequencing events to support delivery commitments.
Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
Basic Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and integrating engineering intent and requirements.
Experienced problem solver with knowledge of aircraft structure, interior commodities, and/or systems.
Comfortable and knowledgeable working on a shop floor or ship side support, rapid reaction force role to support interior parts, assembly, or aircraft build.
Preferred Qualifications
Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience in production planning, owning value stream build plans, and understanding engineering intent and requirements.
At least 2 years of experience writing parts build or aircraft work instructions using people, parts, processes, tools, and designs to complete a cohesive, correct, and complete build plan; experience running improvement projects in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
Experience with 787 build plans and production structures, electrical or interiors system (hydro, ECS, fuel) installations or flight line.
Knowledge and use of 787 aircraft systems (e.g., ENOVIA, DELMIA, CMES, ADPP, ETAC, IVT, CATIA, FTIC, FASTR, E‑plan, REDARs and Boeing Change Process).
Works independently and competently with little direction and supervision on daily tasks.

$61,200 – $82,800
Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3):
$73,100 – $98,900
