Unique Opportunity for Experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician in Midlothian, VA

Key Responsibilities include managing high-risk pregnancies, performing procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage, and working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver superior maternal and fetal care. The role involves outpatient clinics supported by experienced staff, including sonographers, genetic counselors, and nursing professionals, alongside access to advanced ultrasound technology and EPIC electronic medical records.

Required Skills:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Proven experience in managing high-risk pregnancies
• Skilled in performing prenatal procedures (amniocentesis, CVS)
• Ability to interpret ultrasound findings
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience supervising or collaborating with nurse practitioners or physician assistants
• Additional training in fetal intervention procedures
• Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient obstetric care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship
• At least 2 years of post-fellowship practice in high-risk obstetrics
• Eligible for licensure in Virginia

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing expected to be approximately 90 days
• Travel reimbursement including flight, hotel, rental car, or mileage at IRS standard rates
• Ability to work during specific dates, including 05/08-05/15, 05/16-05/22, and 05/26-05/31
• This position is part of a two-provider team covering different hospital sites, supported by a nurse practitioner
