Job Description
The People & Culture Manager acts as employee relations liaison and is responsible for creating and maintaining effective strategies that ensure Fairmont Dallas attracts, selects and develops the most vibrant, enthusiast, engaging hospitality professionals around.

Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, offers 545 elegant guestrooms and suites, with over 73,000 square feet of banqueting and meeting space. For over fifty years, the Fairmont Dallas has been the setting for countless civic, social, cultural, convention and corporate events, but more importantly the setting for thousands of memories.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Establish an atmosphere and promote a culture wherein people are engaged
Share similar values that align with the company’s core values of trust, respect, guest passion, innovation, spirit of conquest and sustainable performance
Respond to different employee inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
Manage all the benefits processes and remain compliant at all times
Facilitate all-employee communication including hotel happenings
Champion the employee recognition committee
Support all recruitment and training activities while maintaining high standards
Advise Director of People & Culture of all employee relation issues, complaints, disputes, or conflicts while being in full compliance with local and Federal legislation
Assist with health & safety programs to ensure regulation compliance, employee awareness and an accident‑free workplace, as well as administer Workers’ Compensation claims
Perform administrative tasks with regards to compensation, entitlements, and benefits in the HR/payroll system
Assist in maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction and team spirit. Support hotel committees in organizing employee activities and celebrations
Assist Departmental Leaders with the development of specific action plans to address areas of opportunity identified in the employee survey
Social media ambassador, assisting with LinkedIn and social media postings
Assist in all areas as necessary within the People & Culture Department
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience in Human Resources management is required
University/College degree in Human Resources or related discipline an asset
Knowledge of US Employment law an asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to maintain professionalism in a highly confidential environment and to deal with all employees with tact, diplomacy and warmth
Strong problem solving abilities
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
Highly responsible, reliable, organized, and results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
High attention to detail and ability to remain calm and focused
Ability to work cohesively as a team
Passion for helping people and recognizing the great things they do
Bilingual (Spanish) communication skills preferred
Knowledge of Talent Acquisition Systems and Ceridian Dayforce is an asset
