Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Required Skills:

• Current Physician Assistant license in California
• Valid CA DEA registration
• Ability to perform vein harvesting (radical and endoscopic)
• Proficient in interpreting EKGs, X-rays, labs
• Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella devices
• Skilled in OR assist, rounding, and ICU/step-down patient management
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have Skills:

• 3-5 years of specialized experience in cardiothoracic surgery or related fields
• Experience in a high-volume surgical setting
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac support and monitoring techniques
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
• Prior experience in cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgery (minimum of 3 years preferred)

Other Requirements:

• Must hold an active California medical license
• Must possess CA DEA registration
• Ability to work flexible schedule with at least 3-4 days per week availability
• Willingness to participate in call rotations (weekdays and weekends, approximately 1-2 times per month)
• Availability to start in May 2026, pending credentialing and privileges

This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00/hour, with guaranteed 8 hours per day. Overtime applies after 8 hours.
