Join Our Team as a Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in endoscopic and radial artery harvesting techniques
• Ability to interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results
• Proficiency with ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
• Competent in postoperative inpatient rounding and first assist in surgery
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in a surgical or cardiovascular intensive care environment
• Familiarity with CA-specific medical regulations and documentation standards
• Additional procedural or clinical certifications related to cardiovascular care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Active Physician Assistant license in California
• Valid CA DEA registration
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery settings

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including on-call duties every other weekend and two weeknight rotations (6 pm - 7 am)
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime pay applying after 8 hours
• Willingness to participate in a rotating call schedule
• Willing to undergo privileging process, with an estimated completion time of 60-90 days if applicable
• Travel and licensure-related reimbursements will be provided as applicable
