Job Description
The IT Manager at Double E Group will oversee the company’s technology infrastructure and lead initiatives to enhance IT systems and operations.
This role involves managing network upgrades, ensuring secure and reliable IT systems, managing ERP systems at operating sites, and overseeing the procurement and configuration of computer equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network and server management, application management, cybersecurity, and user technical support.
Responsibilities
Network Upgrades & Maintenance
Plan and implement network infrastructure upgrades to support company growth and emerging technologies.
Ensure performance, reliability, and security of networks across all Double E sites.
Configure and optimize network devices (routers, switches, and firewalls).
Manage regular server updates and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Technical Support & User Assistance
Manage MSP relationships.
Oversee the helpdesk process to ensure timely and effective troubleshooting.
Train staff on new software, hardware, security and IT protocols to ensure proficiency and security compliance.
Network Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain advanced network security protocols to safeguard company data, including firewalls, encryption, and anti-virus measures.
Regularly audit IT systems to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies, including coordinating penetration testing.
Disaster Recovery & Emergency Response
Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response and disaster recovery protocols.
Ensure critical systems have redundancy measures and conduct regular testing of recovery plans.
Manage data backups, ensuring the integrity and availability of company data in the event of an incident.
ERP Systems
Manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems at operating sites, ensuring functionality and utilization.
Collaborate with department leaders to customize ERP solutions based on specific business needs.
Troubleshoot ERP issues and ensure system optimization.
Ordering & Configuring Computer Equipment
Manage procurement, configuration, and installation of new computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Ensure that all equipment meets the company's technical and security standards.
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage the lifecycle of hardware, including replacements and upgrades.
IT Strategy & Vendor Management
Assist in developing IT policies and procedures aligned with Double E’s strategic objectives.
Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
Reporting: Prepare performance logs and reports on network usage, costs, and incidents. Develop key performance indicators around performance and efficiency.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective procurement of IT hardware, software, and services.
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades and improvements as necessary.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in IT management or a senior IT role. Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred, either within‑industry or with an MSP serving manufacturing clients.
Strong understanding of network architecture, server management, and cloud technologies (Azure and hybrid configurations).
Experience managing various ERP and other business operating systems. Experience with CNC program transfer software (SuiteFactory, MasterCam) a plus.
Hands‑on experience with network security protocols.
Experience in ordering, configuring, and maintaining computer equipment.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified) preferred.
