Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance their IT infrastructure across networking and systems environments. This role requires a well-rounded professional who not only excels in networking technologies but also brings strong server, virtualization, and cloud experience. This is a hybrid position based in Fairfield County, CT.
Network Engineer’s Responsibilities And Duties
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switching, and wireless environments
Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues across various environments
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to assess needs and recommend technical solutions
Support and manage virtualization platforms and cloud-based environments
Assist with server administration, system upgrades, and overall IT infrastructure maintenance
Network Engineer’s Qualifications And Skills
At least 5 years of experience in network engineering or related roles
Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, switching, and wireless technologies
Solid understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
Experience with Windows Server environments and general IT administration
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Strong troubleshooting skills across both network and server environments
