Overview Business Development Manager - Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $95-145K depending on experience
We are helping a well-established heavy civil contractor in Phoenix seek their next Business Development Manager. This position will, with the help of estimating, grow project pipeline and strengthen client relationships. This role will focus on strategy, planning, and follow through by identifying new opportunities, building strong connections in the market, and representing the company in a professional and approachable way.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts
Identify and pursue new project opportunities in the heavy civil market
Work closely with estimating and operations teams to align business development efforts with company goals
Track market trends, competitors, and potential partnerships
Attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings
Prepare presentations and proposals for prospective clients
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in business development in the construction industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
