Role Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a full-time hybrid position based in Phoenix, AZ. You will specialize in:
Processing vendor invoices, claim‑related payments, and operational expenses with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
Maintaining vendor records, supporting onboarding, completing risk assessments, and ensuring OFAC compliance.
Supporting 1099 reporting, escheatment research, and use/sales tax reporting.
Processing commission payments and policyholder deductible transactions.
Partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve questions efficiently and professionally
Supporting audits, month‑end activities, and departmental initiatives focused on strengthening controls and improving efficiency.
Qualifications
3–5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience (insurance or highly regulated industry experience is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and ownership of work
Comfort working with accounting systems, electronic payment platforms, and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data validation)
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to integrity, accuracy, and service
