JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Overview
We have an opening for Transportation/Highway Design Engineer with 8 to 15 years of experience in highway, roadway, and drainage design. This role will support transportation projects for TxDOT, counties, and municipalities.
Develop roadway and highway design plans, including drainage components.
Prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for transportation projects.
Utilize software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and GEOPAK.
Coordinate with TxDOT, counties, municipalities, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality and timely design solutions.
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited program.
8 to 15 years of experience in highway/roadway and drainage design.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and GEOPAK.
Experience preparing transportation PS&E documents.
Familiarity with TxDOT and local agency design standards and processes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
