HR Generalist needed for a 4‑5 month contract opportunity, Hybrid role with large company experience.

Salary: $35 - $50 per hour.

Overview
Our firm is seeking a seasoned HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal to our organization as it will manage a variety of human resources activities, including benefits and leave administration, across multiple states.

Responsibilities

Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.

Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Administer benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.

Communicate with employees regarding benefits offerings and use.

Handle employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources roles, working for large companies.

In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Experience with benefits and leave administration across multiple states.

Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP) is preferred.

Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
