Sr HR Generalist – Renton, WA
Salary: $83,000 – $85,000 per year.
Fresh & Ready Foods, a member of Canteen, seeks an experienced Human Resources professional for our manufacturing facility in Renton, WA. The Sr. HR Generalist manages full‑cycle recruitment, employee relations, associate engagement, and HR administration in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit and hire: manage job requisitions, extend offers, lead job fair efforts, and assist candidates through background checks.
HR support & administration: conduct orientations, maintain new‑hire folders, track training progress and vacancy reports, and facilitate training & communication materials.
Employee relations & support: address HR inquiries, collaborate with HRAG for counseling and investigations, conduct progressive counseling with leadership, process terminations and write‑ups for attendance violations.
Leave of Absence (LOA) management: serve as primary contact for LOA cases, track intermittent absences, and provide guidance on leave processes.
Associate engagement & retention: conduct climate surveys, analyze results, implement improvement strategies, lead monthly engagement activities, support Culture Champion program, and manage recognition and rewards initiatives.
Meetings & compliance: attend HR meetings on recruitment, turnover, culture, DIAC, and engagement; ensure HR processes comply with company policies, labor laws and industry regulations; assist with safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, employee relations or engagement.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices and associate engagement strategies.
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
