Position
Groundskeeper – Responsible for maintaining a visually appealing and functional outdoor space for campground guests.
Reports To
Designated Supervisor and General Manager
Responsibilities
Daily lawn care: mowing, weeding, raking, trimming, watering, and seeding of lawns and shrubbery.
Operate and maintain garden and landscaping equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely.
Apply insecticides, fertilizers, and chemical sprays to treat diseases.
Maintain grounds free of trash, litter, and debris; empty trash receptacles.
Conduct irrigation audits and perform basic irrigation repairs.
Remove snow using shovel or snow blower.
Replace light bulbs, paint walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment.
Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Interact with guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, planning and decision-making.
Follow the quality assurance manual for property maintenance.
Foster an inclusive work environment that supports employee involvement and morale.
Expected Results
Visually appealing and well-maintained grounds free of trash and debris.
Projects completed safely, on time, and properly.
Safe work practices creating a secure environment for staff and guests.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge of gardening techniques.
Familiarity with sprinkler systems and landscaping equipment.
Understanding of fertilizer, pesticide, and gasoline dispensing.
Capability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally, with repeated lifting of up to 10 pounds.
Operate loud and vibrating tools and equipment.
Stand for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and move over uneven terrain.
Work indoors and outdoors in various climates.
