Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology in Lima, OH Are you a dedicated Hematology Oncology specialist seeking a rewarding locum opportunity? We are actively recruiting a highly qualified Physician to provide exceptional outpatient care at a reputable Level II Trauma Center. This pivotal role supports vital cancer treatment services, contributing to patient well-being and advancing clinical excellence. Position Overview: This locum position offers an excellent chance to apply your expertise in a dynamic outpatient cancer center setting. Covering from September 1, 2026, through January 18, 2027, you will deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adult and geriatric patients. This role involves managing a manageable caseload, engaging in tumor board discussions, and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure top-quality patient outcomes. Enjoy a supportive environment with no weekend or on-call duties, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional clinical care. Required Skills: Valid medical license to practice in Ohio Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology Proven experience in outpatient oncology and hematology care Proficiency in patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting labs and imaging, and prescribing treatments Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Nice to Have Skills: Experience with EPIC EMR system Prior inpatient or hospital-based oncology experience Familiarity with chemotherapy administration procedures Participation in tumor board activities Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus Other Requirements: Credentialing estimated to take approximately 120 days Ability to obtain Ohio medical licensure and applicable certifications Willingness to travel reimbursements, including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage (billed at IRS standard rate) Availability for outpatient clinic coverage from Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Compensation: Hourly Pay Rate: $0.00 (competitive pay package to be discussed upon application) This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patient lives while working in a supportive environment.
