Locums - Lima, Ohio - Hematology/Oncology Opening
Position Overview:RecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens maternity leave coverage assignment in Lima, Ohio. This is an outpatient-focused cancer center role with minimal inpatient responsibility and no call requirements.
Assignment Details- Coverage Dates: September 1, 2026 - January 18, 2027
- Schedule:
- Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Outpatient clinic coverage only
- Call: None
- Weekend Coverage: Not required
- Practice Setting: Outpatient Cancer Center
- EMR: EPIC
- Hospital Affiliation: Level II Trauma Center
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care
- Conduct patient evaluations and follow-ups
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Prescribe and manage chemotherapy and oncology treatment plans
- Participate in tumor board discussions
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary oncology team
- Ensure accurate documentation in EPIC
- Outpatient Volume: 13 patients/day
- Inpatient Volume (rare): 2 patients/day
- Case Mix:
- 60% Hematology
- 40% Oncology
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- 1 Physician in practice
- 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- Nurse Oncology support for chemotherapy administration
- Established cancer center workflow
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology - Required
- Active Ohio License - Preferred
- BLS Certification - Required
- Clean background - Required
- Strong outpatient oncology experience required
