Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric inpatient care to diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal maternal and fetal health outcomes.
• Manage labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum cases with professionalism and clinical expertise.
• Document clinical findings accurately and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and quality standards are maintained throughout all clinical activities.

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license to practice in Virginia.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in OB/GYN.
• Proven ability to manage labor and delivery patients efficiently.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Previous locum or hospitalist experience.
• BLS/ACLS certification.
• Familiarity with hospital policies and OB protocols.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric practice or relevant hospital-based experience.
• Having prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

• Must hold active and unrestricted Virginia medical licensure.
• Ability to travel to North Chesapeake, VA, as required.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.
