StevenDouglas is partnering with a client seeking a Controller for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This need is

4 days/week on-site in Sidney, Ohio

This individual will assist with the following tasks:
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles, ensuring accurate financial statements and internal/external reporting
Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and operational accounting
Manage ERP accounting, drive system improvements and maintain data integrity
Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance reports, and operational analyses for executive decision-making
Prepare and lead financial discussion in weekly operation meetings
Ensure strong internal controls and support audit/compliance processes
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable financial insights
Partner with the leadership on reporting and analysis initiated by private equity stakeholder requests.
Mentor, develop, and supervise accounting staff
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a private equity-backed business
Advanced ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Manufacturing or CPG industry experience
Strong GAAP technical knowledge and audit experience
Proven record in operational close, financial reporting, and team management
