
Assistant Maintenance Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead team members in repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, primarily conveyor and sorting systems in the logistics and fulfillment sector.
Responsibilities
Assign job plans and achieve departmental goals, managing all maintenance team members at the site.
Promote C&W Services internally and externally, exercising leadership and sound judgment.
Assist in formulating standards and work procedures, providing work‑order feedback on discrepancies.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Ensure department objectives and key metrics are met.
Act as liaison to the Account Manager, Planners, Customers, and Department.
Coach and mentor team members, allocating time for one‑on‑one coaching.
Ensure compliance with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Oversee applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Develop and implement QA/QC inspection protocols for all work personnel and performed work.
Achieve performance expectations set by performance appraisals.
Communicate with team members to support short‑ and long‑term goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management or related field (preferred) or transferable management experience (3 years minimum; 5 years preferred).
Capability to obtain CMRP/ICML MLT 1.
Working knowledge of repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
Understanding of basic/power tools, shop math, pneumatics, power transmissions, parts nomenclature, measurements, and fasteners.
Ability to operate simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
Flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Benefits & Compensation
Compensation ranges from $97,240.00 to $114,400.00, depending on factors such as collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, market rates, and experience. Pay will not be less than minimum wage.
