
Recruitment Operations Specialist

Primary Purpose
This position serves as an administrative point of contact for recruitment management of SHRA and EHRA non‑faculty staff positions. The role involves posting vacancies, managing PeopleAdmin ATS, advising hiring managers on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices, and refining hiring processes and workflows to support operational efficiency. The consultant collaborates with the Talent Solutions team to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative recruitment strategies to create high‑quality candidate pools based on current and future university needs.

Responsibilities
Post vacancies and manage the PeopleAdmin applicant tracking system.
Advise hiring managers on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices.
Refine hiring processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the Talent Solutions team to evaluate and streamline processes.
Develop innovative recruitment strategies to build high‑quality candidate pools.
Ensure recruitment efforts align with the university’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and university employment policies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (all degrees from accredited institutions).
One year of work experience where recruitment was the primary function.
Knowledge of federal and state employment and hiring laws and regulations.
Experience developing recruitment strategies and targeted recruitment efforts for difficult-to-fill positions.
Experience working in PeopleAdmin applicant tracking system.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Ability to handle sensitive confidential data and information.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management and conflict resolution skills.
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, and dealing with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Experience influencing stakeholders and building rapport.
