Position Details
Applications Systems Analyst II (NS) – Position Number 60038103 – Grade DT09 – Salary Grade Range $81,504.00 – $122,256.00 – Recruitment Range $81,504.00 – $95,000.00. This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and requires onsite reporting in Raleigh, NC.
Description of Work
The primary purpose is to provide business analysis, system analysis, programming, and production support for complex applications and data systems within the organizational unit. The position involves designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications, integrations, and data pipelines across Microsoft‑based systems and modern cloud data platforms.
Lead requirement‑gathering sessions and develop functional and technical specifications.
Design and build new complex programs and modify existing systems.
Build and optimize data pipelines, including API‑driven workflows and data quality checks.
Perform system administration, configuration, and application performance monitoring to prevent production interruptions.
Develop and execute test plans, and validate data quality across multiple source systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders in Product, Operations, and Engineering to translate business needs into automated solutions, governing data models, and decision‑grade reporting via Power BI or similar BI tools.
Qualifications
Minimum education and experience requirements are:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, an IT related field, or a related technical degree plus two years of business application consulting or development experience.
Associate degree in a related field plus three years of application consulting or development experience.
High school diploma or GED plus six years of business application consulting or development experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred qualifications include significant experience delivering full SDLC solutions for complex applications and data services, advanced SQL and data modeling, database administration, automated data pipelines, and reporting solutions using Power BI, SSRS, or similar tools. Knowledge of Python, Jupyter notebooks, and modern cloud data platforms is also preferred.
