Position Summary

Snap-on Credit IT is looking for a Telecom/System Administrator that will be responsible for all aspects of voice communications within the enterprise. In addition, this team member will maintain and enhance existing infrastructure systems throughout organization, including Windows 11 computer environment, SharePoint, and desktop applications. Assignments include installation, problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a full range of telecommunications equipment encompassing both analog, digital, SIP, and VoIP technologies. The individual will address issues of availability and reliability for voice, data, signal, connectivity within the local and remote internal IT customer sites. Part of overall IT Infrastructure team to provide all levels of Support Center support to internal IT customers.
Responsibilities

Primary administration of Server environment running Communication Manager (CM) with 270+ users, Avaya Aura Messaging (AAM), Avaya Call Management System (CMS), Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise (ASBCE), Avaya System/Session Manager, Avaya AES system, Digital and SIP desk phones, Avaya Workplace and Avaya one-X Agent softphones, Call Accounting - VeraSMART v12.1.
Administer existing AT&T SIP trunking service and BVoIP (Business Voice over IP) tied to Avaya infrastructure. Includes proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and load balancing of inbound/outbound calls
Monitor computer, network systems and applications using Tanium endpoint management and security platform; interpret console messages and perform required actions
Evaluate new telephony and computer-based technology. Make recommendations to the Director of IT on tools to add efficiencies
Provide support and training to user community for telephony installations, phone and voicemail, instruction, call activity reporting, and all Windows 11 related solutions
Perform installations, upgrades and testing of new hardware/software products and/or solutions individually or as part of a team
Maintain current knowledge of overall IT Telephony vendor capabilities. Analyze monthly charges for accuracy
Requires some weekends and after-hours support, On-call rotation, and light travel as needed
Provide all levels of Support Center support for local Snap-on Credit employees
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

One to three years’ experience with Avaya voice communication equipment is expected
Administration- level knowledge of Windows 10/11 workstations, Windows Server 2012-2022, and SharePoint 2013-2016/365
Working knowledge of Tanium endpoint management and security platform preferred
BS or BA degree in computer science or related technical field desired or a corresponding number of years of relevant experience in a fast paced environment
Familiarity with TCP/IP networks and working with network security (firewalls, authentication systems, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions within fast paced environment
Must be able to work independently and in groups, take initiative and have the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Dependable attendance and work record required
Effort and Working Environment

Effort: Normal office hours. Some overtime will be required as well being in the on-call support rotation. Limited travel will be expected. Working environment: Normal office environment (On-Site)
