• Admissions: Yes

• Case Mix: General emergency medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 14 emergency department beds

• EMR System: Cerner

• Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped emergency department

• Specialty Backup Available: Inpatient and surgical services

• Support Staff Available: APP coverage 12 hours per day

• Reason for Coverage: Staffing coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Presentation Requirements: Active Florida license, board certification preferred, active DEA, and CSR if required

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Emergency department evaluations and management

• Responding to rapid response calls and codes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Florida medical license

• Board: Board Certification preferred in Emergency Medicine

• DEA: Active DEA required

• Certifications: As required for emergency medicine privileges

• Experience: Emergency medicine experience required

• Other Qualifications: Ability to manage a broad range of emergency conditions

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care in a community emergency department

• Manage acute and emergent patient presentations

• Respond to rapid response events and codes

• Collaborate with APPs and hospital staff

• Document all patient care accurately and timely
