Purpose and Scope
The faculty member provides learning activities and support to achieve course objectives and contribute to the educational environment. Responsibilities include planning, developing, and teaching courses that facilitate student learning.
Essential Job Functions
Teaches Computer Technology courses at various times and locations
Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner
Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established guidelines
Meets with and advises students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
Evaluates students to measure progress and informs them in a timely manner
Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned

Physical Abilities
The work is sedentary. The employee will typically sit while performing duties and may occasionally walk, stand, bend, carry light items, or drive an automobile. No special physical demands are required.
Work Schedule & Conditions
Equipment includes a PC workstation, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out position functions
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
Hours vary with class schedules; instructors must meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside class instruction
Required Qualifications
At least 3 years of documented experience working or teaching in a related field
License or appropriate teaching certifications when required by a licensing body or certifying authority
Salary
$55.44 per contact hour.
