Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Grants Administrator
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seeks a Grants Administrator for the Division of Surface Water (DSW) to work at its Central Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with DSW grant program managers to develop and implement comprehensive programs, including Clean Water Act Sections 106, 604(b), and 319, Nonpoint Source Implementation, Gulf Hypoxia Task Force, Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, H2Ohio, and other grant applications.
Supervise, coordinate, and administer state and federal subgrant agreements.
Track grant budgets and spending, and provide timely updates to DSW administration and grant program managers.
Assist program staff with the selection of subgrantees, ensuring appropriate subgrant workplans and environmental deliverables.
Coordinate activities such as contract executions, payment approvals, and fiscal status reports.
Ensure subgrantee compliance with federal and state grant guidance and regulations; review and approve quarterly fiscal reports, payment requests, and progress reports through the grant tracking system.
Prepare written correspondence, guidance documents, and reference materials.
Qualifications
24 months of training or experience in preparation and monitoring of grants and/or other fiscal accounts; and 12 months of training or experience in supervisory principles/ techniques.
OR completion of an undergraduate core program in accounting and/or finance, and 12 months of training or experience in supervisory principles/ techniques.
OR 12 months of experience as a Grants Coordinator 2, 63162.
OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the Major Worker Characteristics noted above.
