Job Description
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental supervisor in the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR), working at our Central Office in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

Supervise all aspects of the voluntary action program (VAP).

Supervise staff activities, work assignments, and coordinate work to ensure program commitments are met.

Develop and implement guidelines ensuring compliance with agency/program policies, procedures, and state and federal laws and rules.

Evaluate and determine training needs for staff.

Provide technical assistance to consultants, government officials, industry, and citizens.

Qualifications

5 years training or 5 years experience in a position involving engineering or chemistry, physics, biology & other comparable science fields & mathematics or history or archaeology (where applicable) evaluating & approving complex engineering design plans, conducting environmental surveillance, compliance monitoring, investigations, enforcement actions, or environmental project planning, and 6 months training or experience as lead worker. Training or experience must correspond to the environmental area to be assigned. Positions in the EPA's solid waste program, excluding the solid waste planning unit, also require a valid Ohio certificate of registration as sanitarian or as sanitarian-in-training.

OR 12 months experience as Environmental Specialist 2, 85862.

OR equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
