
RN-Emergency Room

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Hours: 36-hour weekly guarantee
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside outside of a 60-mile radius from the facility.
Patient Population: Emergency Department requires the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations and provide quality clinical, mental, and spiritual care.
EMR: Meditech (Experience Required)
Emergency Care: Provide high-level nursing interventions in a fast-paced ED setting; assess and prioritize patient needs effectively under stress.
Clinical Excellence: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing principles, including IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy.
Leadership: Utilize strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills to prioritize and delegate tasks. May be required to assume duties as a Charge Nurse.
Safety & Mobility: Assess and implement the use of lifts for safe patient handling; maintain a high level of safety awareness for self and others.
Float Requirements: Flexibility to adapt to unit needs and maintain excellent interpersonal communication with the multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for this role, candidates must provide a complete submission profile including:
Experience: 2+ years of Emergency Room experience with documented travel experience (Required). Critical Care and Charge Nurse experience is highly preferred.
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) RN License.
Certifications: Current AHA BLS and ACLS (Required).
PALS (Required or must be obtained within 6 months).
Must be IV, Medication, and Phlebotomy certified.
