Your Impact
Pearce is seeking
Experienced HVAC Technician
to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on Cell Tower sites. This is a regional position; candidates should reside in the Iron Mountain, Michigan area.
Core Responsibilities
Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install and replace components of entire systems.
Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑outs.
Complete daily work reports accurately and timely.
Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Qualifications
Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
3+ years of HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred).
Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates must comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards.
Available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
Occasional overnights required – company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
Driving to remote work sites as needed.
Exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $27.00–$38.00 (DOE). Compensation may include performance bonuses, referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem, and other applicable compensation.
