What you’ll do
Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
Perform safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
Assist Diesel Mechanics in completing project work
Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
What do you need to be considered for the role of Senior Diesel Mechanic
4 years of heavy‑duty truck experience
A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
Be over 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical
