A healthcare system is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage. $500/hr Position Details Specialty: Gastroenterology Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: July 27, 2026 Contract Length: 26 weeks Positions Needed: 1 FTE: 0.5 Schedule Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Daily 8-hour shifts Call is optional Patient Population Adults Patient Volume Outpatient endoscopy center: 16 patients per day Hospital census: patients per day Clinical Responsibilities Admissions Rounding Procedures Required procedures: Colonoscopy EGD Flexible sigmoidoscopy Dilation General GI procedures Practice Environment 251-bed acute care hospital Provider will also work at a secondary clinic nearby Provider will work with another GI physician in the practice EMR:Epic Credentialing / Clinical Activity Requirements Must provide documentation of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested during the previous 24 months If training to perform double balloon enteroscopy or capsule endoscopy occurred in the previous 2 years, applicant must provide: Description of supervised training on human subjects Letter from supervising physician attesting to clinical competence as an independent operator If training occurred more than 2 years ago, applicant must provide documentation of ongoing clinical practice in each privilege requested Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology required Washington license or IMLC required BLS required ACLS required DEA required Epic experience required Minimum 2 years of experience required Additional Notes ERCP is not required, but if a provider performs ERCP, it should be clearly noted in the presentation subject line and presentation form.
