Locums - Bellingham, Washington - Gastroenterology Opening (IMLC Welcome)Assignment Details
- Start Date: ASAP (approx. 90-day credentialing timeframe)
- Duration: Approved through 1/14/2027 (extension possible)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
- Call: Not required (optional if provider is interested; can be added if needed)
- FTE Need: 0.5 FTE remaining (shared among locums coverage; 1.0 FTE approved total)
- Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage
- Inpatient + outpatient GI coverage
- Hospital + clinic + secondary clinic location
- Hospital Size: 251 beds
- EMR: Epic
- Working alongside another GI physician in the practice
- Outpatient clinic + endoscopy center (14-16 patients/day)
- Hospital inpatient GI coverage (variable census)
- Rounding, admissions, and procedures
- Adult patient population (18+)
- Colonoscopy
- EGD
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Dilation
- General gastroenterology procedures
ERCP NOT required
Documentation Requirements (Procedural Credentialing)- Must provide documentation of GI clinical competency within last 24 months
- If applicable: proof of supervised training for advanced endoscopy (double balloon/capsule) and competency attestation may be required
- Ongoing clinical practice documentation required if training >2 years ago
- Board Certified Gastroenterology - Required
- Active Washington license or IMLC - Required
- DEA - Required
- BLS & ACLS - Required
- Minimum 2 years GI experience - Required
