• Weekly Estimated Pay: $4,550 - $4,870

• Practice Setting: Inpatient and Operating Room (hospital-based)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks

• Shift Schedule: 10-hour days; shifts available 7:00am-5:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00am
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Yes (including weekends)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of orthopedic surgery experience required (no new graduates) - operating room and inpatient orthopedic experience preferred
• Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in New York State (NYS)
• NCCPA certification; PA-C credential preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current self-query NPDB report (must be within one month of submission)
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced orthopedic care to adult patients (18+)
• Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures including total knee replacement, shoulder replacement, and hip replacement (total joint arthroplasty)
• Work autonomously in inpatient and OR settings; supervising physician present in OR and available via phone for floor call
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including nights and weekends
• Document clinical care accurately and timely using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality perioperative care
