Position Overview
The HR/Nursing Education Administrative Assistant provides administrative and operational support to both the Human Resources and Nursing Education departments, with the role organizationally housed within HR. This position plays a key role in coordinating activities that support employee lifecycle processes and nursing education initiatives.
Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records and compliance documentation, and supporting the coordination of nursing orientation, ongoing education, and competency programs. The role is instrumental in tracking licensure, certifications, and required clinical competencies to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
This position works closely with HR staff, nurse educators, leadership, and new hires to ensure a seamless onboarding and educational experience for nursing staff. Education Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1–2 years of administrative or clerical experience required; experience in a healthcare, Human Resources, or education setting preferred
Basic knowledge of office procedures, scheduling, and recordkeeping required
Experience with onboarding processes, employee records, or training coordination preferred but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn HRIS, LMS, or other systems as needed
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and new hires
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document management
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Willingness to learn healthcare compliance requirements, including licensure and certification tracking

$16.20 – 24.30 per hour.
