A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic general liability team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of litigation experience, insurance defense experience, strong advocacy skills, and a desire to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities:
1.Handle all phases of discovery and motion practice 2.Conduct and defend depositions 3.Draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings 4.Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and trials 5.Represent clients in mediations and settlement discussions
Qualifications:
1.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school 2.Admission to the New York State Bar 3.Admission to the EDNY and/or SDNY (or ability to be admitted within 90 days of hire) 4.Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills 5.Strong organizational and communication abilities 6.Self-motivated and able to manage multiple matters efficiently
