Positions Available: 1
Exempt: Non-Exempt - Hourly
Pay: Depends On Experience
Shift Hours: 1st Shift 7 AM to 3:30 PM M-F
General Description / Summary: Responsible for all raw material that is received in and is pulled and scheduled to support all production operations.
Reports to: Shipping Lead
Responsibilities
Receive raw material in with forklift and enter actual counts into the computer system after verification.
Maintain material lot control (heat numbers) for traceability.
Inspect incoming material using micrometers and other measuring tools. If material does not meet specification, red tag material and schedule disposition.
Maintain Yellow tag process.
Responsible for monitoring the production schedule to assure material arrives at machining cell when scheduled.
Offer ideas on possible improvements in your work area.
Maintain inventory accuracy in the ERP system to reduce the chance of running out of needed material.
Pick orders for production.
Use overhead cranes after proper training is documented and completed.
Use production saw to slug bar stock after being properly trained on functions of the Saw.
Monitor and control cross contamination of all cutting fluids.
Deliver the scheduled raw material to each machine based on each machine schedule to help machines stay on schedule and pick up empty carts.
Keep the different materials separate for recycling to ensure we receive the proper costing when chip spinning or scrapping materials.
Monitor and spin the scheduled chips to remove oil and recycle oil back into system.
Perform scheduled cycle counts to help maintain inventory accuracy.
Other duties that may be assigned and trained on.
Educational Level
High School Diploma / or Equivalent
Previous Experience
Some production experience, material handling, inventory control and basic computer skills are required.
Fork truck and overhead crane experience is desired but not required. We will train the right person.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
Background & Drug Screening required
Salary: $41000 - $55000 per year
