
Assistant Maintenance Technician

Description
The Assistant Maintenance Technician works directly with the maintenance team to ensure the property is operating efficiently and all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all groundskeeping, general repairs, carpentry and painting requirements of the property.
Responsibilities
Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all assigned requests are completed successfully and promptly
Ensure vacant units are prepared for occupancy by completing a range of tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, general repairs, and other activities as needed
Maintain grounds, amenity areas and breezeways
Work at a fast pace without impacting quality, ensuring enough time for other maintenance personnel to complete their functions in the make-ready process
Maintain the accuracy of the work order system, logging all actions and supplies needed to complete each request
Develop a rapport with residents by providing superior customer service
Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary
Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing)
Dress in a professional manner according to Jones Street uniform policy
Requirements
At least one year of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance
Excellent time management skills, can easily shift priorities and timelines
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Must be able to lift 50lbs
