Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Beach Toll Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of toll collection services in a coastal environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate tracking of driving passes, revenue, and expenses while supporting operational efficiency and customer service.
The Beach Toll Coordinator will manage administrative and financial tracking functions, coordinate staffing efforts, and assist with public inquiries. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administrative, finance, or customer service roles
Experience handling cash transactions and maintaining financial records
Experience supporting scheduling, onboarding, or training coordination
Experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Experience maintaining reports, logs, and tracking systems
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other spreadsheet software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions
Ability to prepare clear and accurate administrative reports
Experience Preferences
Experience working in government or public sector environments
Experience with toll systems, permitting, or pass distribution processes
Familiarity with budgeting and expense tracking
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to work in both office and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Education Preferences
Some college coursework in Business, Finance, or a related field
