Service Technician – Commercial Kitchen Ventilation & Controls (KVAC)
Location: North Jersey to NYC | Full-Time
Hands-On Technical Role | Electrical & Controls Focus
Nelbud is hiring a skilled Service Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen ventilation and control systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical and troubleshooting background who enjoys working in the field and solving complex system issues.
You’ll start your day at our Moonachie shop and travel to job sites throughout the region using a company vehicle.
What You’ll Do
Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems
Troubleshoot electrical components, motors, and control systems
Diagnose and repair rooftop ventilation units
Work with integrated control systems and make necessary adjustments
Deliver high-quality service while representing Nelbud on job sites
What We’re Looking For
Strong electrical background with experience troubleshooting motors and controls in a commercial setting ( required )
Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, or integrated control systems
Familiarity with BACnet or similar ventilation/control systems (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex issues
Ability to work independently in the field
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights
Willingness to travel within the region (company vehicle provided)
