Job Summary
C. A. Goldberg, PLLCis a Brooklyn-based law firm that litigates across the nation against big tech companies and fights for victims of sexual assault, blackmail, and stalking. We’re seeking to hire a highly motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal with three or more years of litigation experience to join our team. You will be overseeing attorney calendars, preparing documents like affidavits and legal correspondence, as well as organizing and maintaining files. You will also electronically file pleadings in courts throughout the country and help prepare for trials by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as required.

What you’ll do

Multi-state Court filings

Maintaining and managing litigation calendars, dockets and deadlines

Preparing affidavits, legal correspondence, discovery, and other documents for attorneys.

Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.

Acquiring and handling discovery.

Liaise between attorney and clients to obtain required documents, provide case updates, and ensure client appearance for court-scheduled events.

Helping prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed.

Directing and coordinating law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas, coordination of deposition and witnesses to testify at hearings as needed.

What we’re looking for

Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies; and/or.

At least three years of litigation experience.

Strong familiarity with court systems, (NYSCEF, PACER, etc.) and demonstrated ability to review all filings and apply court procedures and rules in practice.

Proven leadership with the ability to delegate and supervise legal assistant(s).

Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.

A confident self-starter to manage and oversee the attorneys’ cases.

You have excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines reliably.

You take initiative in all tasks and exercise strong judgement in enforcing deadlines and supporting all attorneys.

You are able to prioritize many tasks and are not afraid to enforce deadlines within the office.

You are motivated by impact, not just process.

The work
This role involves direct exposure to difficult subject matter, including sexual violence, abuse, harassment, and other traumatic events. You will be working closely with clients who have experienced significant harm.

We provide mental health support, including access to a clinical social worker, but you should already have strong personal coping strategies.

A note on conflicts
Our work includes direct litigation against major tech companies. We cannot consider candidates who live in households with individuals currently employed by or representing companies such as TikTok, Amazon, Meta, Google, Snap, X, or similar entities.

Compensation & logistics
Base salary: $70,000-75,000, depending on experience
