About the Community:
This master-planned community is highly amenitized and specifically designed with providing residents with numerous recreational and lifestyle options. It has earned awards and maintains a strong standing within the top ten master planned communities.
The main role of the Sailing Instructor is to create memorable experiences for residents and guests by teaching sailing tutorials within our community.
What you’ll accomplish:
Welcoming guests and offering sailing instruction
Preparing classes that adapt to the needs and levels of all attendees
Setting up the sailing area and preparing boats and daily activities
Ensuring sailing equipment is safe and well maintained
Coordinating any needed repairs
Assisting with training programs, light operations, and maintenance duties
Helping to facilitate community events on the lake
What we’re looking for:
At least 18 years old
Excellent people skills with an upbeat personality
High degree of customer service and effective communication skills
Flexibility to work a seasonal schedule, May - August
Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new tasks
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:
Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
