Compensation Manager
Are you a hands‑on compensation professional who enjoys building and owning programs while partnering closely with HR and business leaders to make a real enterprise‑wide impact? Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a Compensation Manager to lead the design, analysis, and administration of our total rewards programs, including base pay and incentive compensation. This role serves as the primary compensation subject matter expert for the business and partners closely with HR leadership, Finance, and senior business leaders to ensure compensation programs align with business strategy, talent goals, and market competitiveness.
Preferred work model is hybrid/onsite in Conyers, GA; however, remote candidates will be considered if willing to travel onsite periodically.
Key Responsibilities
Lead compensation strategy, governance, and program execution across the organization
Own end‑to‑end compensation processes including offers, job pricing, promotions, off‑cycle adjustments, incentives, and annual merit cycles
Maintain salary structures, job architecture, and market pricing to ensure internal and external equity
Advise HR Business Partners and leaders on compensation decisions using data‑driven analysis
Partner with HR Leadership and Finance to assess incentive programs and recommend enhancements
Develop compensation communications, reporting, analytics, and audit support
Manage compensation survey participation and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance with compensation‑related laws and regulations
Support compensation system updates and HR analytics initiatives
Essential Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Compensation, HR, or Finance
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large dataset analysis)
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and independent working style
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree (MBA, HR, Finance, or related)
Compensation experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
CCP certification
