Building Maintenance Technician

Responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance to shop equipment and building facilities. Responsible for documenting all maintenance and repairs, keeping adequate parts stock and building supplies. Provides support to production staff in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and building maintenance to keep the day‑to‑day operations performing.
Essential Functions
Performs and manages preventative maintenance and repairs on all capital equipment. Includes operational support.
equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, etc.
Performs electrical and HVAC installations and repairs.
Maintains company facilities including areas of structural and equipment issues. Performs repairs, works with subcontractors.
and provides improvement recommendations as needed.
Supports and assists with large capital installation and/or repair projects.
Assists management with special repair, maintenance, facility projects.
Keeps management informed of important developments, potential problems, areas of concern related to the facilities.

Coordinates and communicates plans and schedules for repairs.
Uses Filemaker to perform job duties including ordering parts and supplies for machinery and building.
Non‑Essential Functions
Maintain a positive image for the company.
Perform miscellaneous shop duties as required.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Two years of post‑secondary education with an emphasis HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc. or equivalent work‑related experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational and analytical skills.
Physical Demands
Lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and frequently throughout an 8‑to‑10‑hour day.
Work while standing for an entire shift.
Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
