Job Description
The Resident Services Coordinator will report to the Health & Wellness Director. This position is an exempt, salaried position.
Job Overview
Responsible for leading and directing the delivery of non-clinical resident care, ensuring exceptional quality and services while maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as the company’s mission, policies and procedures.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 Yearly
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversees resident care team members to include hiring, training, and onboarding
Provides direct day-to-day oversight of resident care and ensures service plans are followed
Partners with the Health & Wellness Director to create and update resident service plans and proactively respond to changes in condition and service needs
Develops, monitors, and adjusts work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and compliance with regulatory requirements; manages resources to deliver outstanding care while controlling salary expenses
Implements and monitors safety protocols
Maintains continuous and proactive communication with residents’ family members to promote open dialogue and timely sharing of information; serves as the first point of contact for residents and family questions and concerns
Creates and maintains resident profiles to incorporate histories, preferences, and hobbies into daily interactions and activities
Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements; addresses issues promptly to maintain compliance
Manages care team scheduling
Procures resident supplies
Participates in and attends all scheduled in-service training
Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Degree in a related field (health care, social services, therapeutic recreation) preferred
Prior experience and knowledge of caring for people with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias required
Must have current First Aid and CPR certification as required by State
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
Physical Abilities
Requires standing, walking, sitting, using fine and gross motor skills, reaching with hands and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling
Requires lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.; intermittent activity includes lifting and supporting residents; proper body mechanics must be used
