
Staffing Coordinator

This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient operations by coordinating schedules, managing staffing resources, and supporting payroll accuracy. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate daily staffing needs across patient care units in partnership with nursing leadership
Schedule and assign float pool and agency staff to ensure appropriate coverage
Monitor staffing levels and proactively address shortages (overtime, agency requests)
Maintain accurate staffing data and reporting within scheduling systems (e.g., Clairvia)
Manage payroll edits and timekeeping accuracy for float pool and supplemental staff
Communicate staffing updates and changes to leadership and incoming shifts
Track staffing metrics such as agency usage, coverage rates, and staffing trends
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and staff credentialing
Provide administrative and operational support to the nursing staffing office
Minimal Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
1+ years of experience in staffing, scheduling, or healthcare operations
Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment strongly preferred
Familiarity with staffing systems (e.g., Clairvia) a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer skills: Excel, PowerPoint, including database and spreadsheets
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate multiple activities in a complex situation
Ability to work under stressful conditions and meet deadlines
Hiring Range
USD $23.65 - $42.03 /Hr.
