Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting with the planning and completion of the annual work plan of the Office of Audit and Advisory Services. Under immediate supervision, executes financial, operational, and compliance audits and internal control reviews. Assists with evaluating the adequacy of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures by performing the audit or review, assists with designing the audit program, obtains a thorough understanding of processes, and performs fieldwork. Prepares working papers, which record and summarize data on the assigned audit segment, in accordance with the International Standards Professional Practices Framework. Assists with drafting and finalizing audit reports to communicate observations, issues, risks, and recommendations, ensuring all audit findings, exceptions, and proposed adjustments in the audit report are adequately explained in a clear and concise manner. Completes assigned audits with reports within appropriate timeframes. Assists with evaluating the adequacy of internal controls over processes and develops recommendations to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Assists in performing follow‑up audit procedures to appraise the adequacy of the auditee's corrective actions taken to improve audit deficiencies. Assists with the annual risk assessment process. Carries out other duties as deemed appropriate by the Chief Audit Officer or the Director of Audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years experience.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
