Overview
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.
Warehouse Forklift Operator / Material Handler Positions Pay Weekly. Up to
$27 per hour
(including shift differentials).
Pay and Schedule
Base pay:
$23.00 per hour
.50 increase after 6 months and after 1 year
Overtime Pay:
$34.50 per hour
Additional Pay:
Shift Differentials up to
$4.00/hr
on nights
Productivity Incentives: Eligible to earn up to an extra
$10/hr
Monthly attendance bonuses
Sign-on bonus:
$1,000
paid in four installments at 30, 60, 90, 180 days
Schedule Options
Night shift options: Sun-Wed or Sun-Wed with start times (e.g., 4:30pm – 4:00am or 5:30pm – 5:00am)
44-55 hours per week
11 hour shift
2 month schedule provided in advance for family planning
Responsibilities
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
Follow performance measurement guidelines of the contract
Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
Valid forklift operator's license
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work within a diverse environment
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Must be punctual with good attendance
Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Flexible schedule to work on various shifts
