Secondary Starter Room Operator

Overview
Job Type: Regular. Location: Jerome, ID. This role involves bulk blending and pasteurizing starter medias and cheese ingredients to support batch production.
Responsibilities
Safely and effectively mix starter media, Totes of Non-Fat Dry Milk, starches and Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) per daily schedule.
Maintain hygienic and sanitation procedures of all blending and starter equipment per daily schedule.
Accurately grade and record cheddar cheese per specifications.
Monitor starter inventory and place orders with managers as needed.
Safely operate cold milk separator and perform routine sanitation of the separator per GMP specifications.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum four (4) years of experience required.
Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
Lift Truck license required; in-house training provided.
Pasteurizer license required.
Cheese grader license preferred.
Benefits
Starting wage of $22.04; two pay increases within first year up to $1.00; $1.50 shift differential plus double time on Sundays.
Mon-Fri every other Sun 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Thur-Sat every other Sun 5:00 AM.
