About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations across multiple entities. You will play a key role in financial close processes, general ledger management, and multi-state tax compliance while partnering closely with leadership to improve processes and strengthen internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general ledger activities across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries, perform complex reconciliations, and analyze variances
Oversee multi-state sales and use tax compliance, including filings and audits
Maintain state registrations and coordinate with external tax advisors
Support intercompany transactions and consolidations
Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Lead external audits by providing documentation and analysis
Partner with internal teams to improve accounting processes and controls
Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with account reconciliations and financial close processes
Hands‑on experience with multi‑state tax compliance and sales and use tax
Preferred:
CPA or CPA‑eligible
Experience with ERP systems, Sage Intacct a plus
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Key Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and lead processes
Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
Work Environment and Schedule
Office or hybrid work environment
Monday through Friday schedule, with flexibility between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Additional hours may be required during month‑end, quarter‑end, and audits
Minimal travel required
